If you haven’t seen this movie yet please do – If These Walls Could Talk 2. More about it here – www.imdb.com/title/tt0206036/. I know from personal experience what it’s like to feel ashamed or trying to hide that you’re with somebody of the same sex. It sucks. Never knowing when that conversation will come up and if somebody is anti-gay. Or finding they suddenly don’t like you now and you get the lecture. Or told, “I feel sorry for you because you’re going to hell.” Would love to see all states legalize gay marriages. As in the movie above it demonstrates a perfect scenerio. Spending your entire adult life with somebody you love, making a home and future together, share everything. Then say you lose them. Now all you are is a roomate, friend at best. Everything is now in the family of your partner’s and all decisions are made by them too. Even though you knew your partner’s wishes and family has not spoken to them in ages, the wishes are not met. Everything you two own is now treated like a yard sale. Not to mention if you and your partner have a child together. Again, because it’s not legalized, if you were to separate the child goes to the biological partner and the other one can no longer see the child. Even if she/he was there during conception, birth, and helped raise it. JUST like a real mother/father. Just so many things that are more difficult and truly not right. It isn’t any disease, or something you learn, you’re born this way.

I’m sorry to keep talking about it, but this movie was just so amazing. Every aspect of the subject was addressed pretty much. This here is the scene just after the old woman lost her partner. She had fallen off a ladder while feeding her birds that she loved. This is where the whole legal issues come to play. And why it’s so important to legalize gay marriage
